How SeatingQR works, from guest list to the big day
SeatingQR has two sides: a planning tool for you and a very simple page for your guests. Here is what happens on each.
For you: build the plan
- Start free. You can begin without an account and sign in when you want to save.
- Add guests by typing or pasting a list, then add your tables and any names or locations for them.
- Add rules for who must sit together or apart, then auto-seat the rest.
- Fix any conflicts the builder flags, then print the backup list.
For you: publish and print
- Add your names and publish the guest page. You can preview it before publishing.
- Download the QR sign in the size you need: 5×7 card, tent card or poster.
- Optionally add the schedule, menu, floor plan, registry links and an access code.
For guests: find a seat in seconds
- Scan the QR code with the phone camera.
- Type their name. Partial names and accents work.
- See their table, and on the Wedding plan who sits there and where their seat is.
What guests never see
Guests cannot browse the full guest list. They only get results for the name they search, and your private notes, seating rules and dietary details are never shown.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to try it?
No. You can build a draft in your browser first and sign in when you want to save it.
Can guests change their own seat?
No. Guests can only look up their seat. All changes are made by you or your helpers.
